I'm scared
scared of where this world is heading

worried for those that are like me, are we safe?

terrified about how much worse things have to get before they get better.

I'm irritated
irritated about the fact we're just letting this happen
I'm frustrated
frustrated for everyone who is affected, are they okay?
I'm furious
furious of those who believe they can just undo a part of who we all are

I'm content
content of the community we have built up across these years
I'm excited
excited for the changes that'll come, are things progressing?
I'm happy
happy about those who'll get to live without worries

Welcome back to another lovely article of A Beautiful Soul. With so many things happening in the world today, it may be hard to focus on the positive. May this be a small reminder of the good things that can happen.

While writing this article, I had originally decided I was going in a different direction, but a beautiful soul came back into my restaurant. A while back, we featured a story that has since had an update. If you want to see the original story, please look at Issue 8.

So, this is someone I had met in real life and I witnessed the original story firsthand. The male in the original story came back to me with an update on his life. I love seeing these and decided it would be wise to share them here.

A year ago, I watched someone try to invalidate and cause the erasure of this man, who wasn't what he appeared. The end of that story was two people having an open discussion, knowledge being spread, and an understanding of the spectrum. Now, we've learned more about this.

The "gay man" came to tell me that he and his now wife were expecting their first child together. They will be having a baby boy at the end of June. I couldn't have been happier to hear this for them. They were an amazing couple to meet. I'm glad that night ended how it did: a progressive one for the community.

They have since also taken another partner into their relationship and couldn't be happier. The other person is also happy about the pregnancy and wants to help raise the child as well. He told me about the trials of family they have endured since taking on someone into their relationship. While it sounded hard and a lot of work to make everything work, he was glowing with pride as he spoke.

They have entered into the polyamory lifestyle, and it sounds like it has been working very well for them. He mentioned the amazing support and an overwhelming sense of love that has entered their lives.

Remember the older gentleman mentioned in the original story? They both had a heartfelt moment when the couple told them their life update. To witness the moment between two people who had once been divided before being educated more on the LGBTQ+ community was a beautiful sight to see. This time, there was no erasure, only love for life no matter one's preferences.

While this update isn't the full story, I did ask if I could give a brief update, and the couple agreed to it. I do hope further down the road I can bring you more good news from this little family. They really are an inspiration and someone I'm proud to watch their growth and journey.
